Instructions

To begin the membership process please click HERE to sign up for an account.  Fill out the information including all the people (if applicable) that will be on the membership with you.  Next, come into the fitness center and we will finish the process, including determining eligibility (bring proof of residency or business employment if applying for one of those memberships), collecting payment and signing membership agreement.

 

An adult must be on the account for each membership.  Children ages 9 and below must not be left unattended in the facility (must be accompanied by an adult 18+).

Residential Membership Info 

Persons residing within the Oquirrh Recreation and Parks District are entitled to discounted fees for annual memberships because of property taxes paid to the District. (See map for approximate boundaries.)

Residents must provide CURRENT PROOF OF RESIDENCY & picture ID to purchase Resident Annual Memberships.
Current proof of residency includes the following: utility bill (i.e., phone, cell phone, water , gas, electric), bank statement, pay stub with your name and address, or any other bill that was mailed to you. All of these forms of proof must have been received within the last 30 days to be considered “current”. We do not accept a driver’s license or personal check as proof of residency. Without proof of residency, Annual General Membership fees will apply. General Membership Info 

Includes admission to Open Plunge, Lap Swimming, Adults Only Plunge times, Tennis, use of the Fitness Training Room, Gymnasium (during open play) and Fitness Classes (Water Fitness Classes, Total Fitness Classes, Swim Fitness/Masters & Triathlon Swim Fitness). Members receive discounted fees for a variety of programs with instruction offered by the Fitness Center. Members must present “Membership Card” to enter the facility.

The above are eligible for a 20% discount off the General Household, Couple or Single membership fee. A pay stub, letter from the employer, insurance card, official ID, certification, or badge is required to verify employment status.

FAQ

If someone moves out of my household, is there a fee to remove them from my membership?

No, there is no fee to remove members. We encourage you to keep your membership up to date.

Is there a fee to change my banking information?

No, there is no fee to update your banking information for memberships on the monthly draft.

My child is turning 3 this year, will there be a fee to add them to the household membership?

If adding your child results in more than 5 household members on your membership, then there will be a $40 plus tax annual fee for that child. But the $25 administrative fee to add members is waived in the case of a child coming of age. For monthly membership resulting in more than 5 members, the monthly draft rate would change. Please visit the membership counter for assistance with any changes being made.

I am a foster parent, am I limited to 5 individuals on the household membership?

In consideration of the special circumstances of a foster family, you will be able to add an additional 3 foster children to your membership (up to a maximum of 8 household members) with no additional charge.

If I want to add an additional household member to my membership 6 months into my current membership term, is the $40 plus tax annual fee for that person prorated?

No. We currently do not have that option under any of our current membership definitions.

If I add an additional household member to my membership 6 months into my current membership term, does that cause me to start a new 12- month contract period?

The answer depends on whether you are on the draft or pay annually. You do not start a new 12-month contract if you pay annually, but you still pay the $25 change fee and $40 plus tax annual fee for each additional person up front.

You will be required to start a new 12-month contract if you pay on the monthly draft. If you are on the draft, you must pay the $25 admin fee up front for adding an additional member and pay the higher monthly draft amount, for the next 12 months.

Does my Salt Lake County pass work at this KOPFC?

No. Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center is a Special District run by a Board of Trustees.

How do I know if I reside in the Oquirrh Parks and Recreation Tax District and qualify for a resident membership?

The boundaries for the Oquirrh Parks and Recreation Tax District is set by the Salt Lake County Assessor. You can access the information on your property tax document the is mail each November or you can access the address in question at https://slco.org/property-tax/notice-of-valuation/lookup/. Line item to look for to verify residency will be listed as OQUIRRH REC & PARKS. 

Can I cancel my monthly membership over the phone.

No. For termination requests please contact us via 2 options 1. Email/mail, 2.In person/drop-off. Simply provide us with the following information: 1. Name, 2. Address, 3. Phone number, 4. Membership number (if you know it – bar code number on the back of your membership card) and 5. Reason for terminating your membership (Optional)

Definitions

*HOUSEHOLD: Up to 5 individuals living in the same home. Additional household members may be added for an annual fee of $40 each. Click the PDF below for a draft and annual fees table for households of more than 5 people) Current Proof of Residency is required for the Primary account holder. After the initial application submission, there is a $25 fee to add names to the membership.

***All memberships are a minimum of twelve (12) months

**COUPLE: a couple is two (2) individuals who share the same household.

***SENIOR: a senior is an individual who is 62 years of age or older. To qualify for a Senior Couple Membership, both individuals must be 62 or older.

#Monthly Bank Drafts are for a minimum of twelve (12) months after which time the membership will automatically renew until the member gives seven (7) days advanced written notice to stop the automatic drafts. The membership will remain active during the thirty days and your account will be drafted. Please submit a voided check for this option. Draft amounts include sales tax.

Membership Refunds:

There is a thirty (30) day grace period to cancel a monthly membership.  No refund will be available on a monthly membership that is cancelled within the 30-day grace period.  Monthly membership will be cancelled immediately with no penalty.  For annual memberships, there is a ten (10) day grace period to cancel and receive a full membership refund minus a $25 service fee. This excludes all Summer Only Memberships. No cancellations or changes on Summer Only Memberships.
